Question

Expiration date on contacts?

I have 2 boxes of contacts that I would like to use, but I'm worried they may have expired. I can't find an obvious expiration date on the boxes.

They are Acuvue Oasys with Hydraclear Plus. The Lot # on one of the boxes is B003PFS1TD, the other is 212268065100000274.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for your question. The expiration date of all ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses can be found on the box end. The year is shown first (i.e. 2012) followed by the month (i.e. 09, 10, etc.). As long as the lenses are still snugly sealed in their original foil packages, they can be used until the last day of the month indicated.

Thank you for your question. We recommend ACUVUE® OASYS™ with HYDRACLEAR® Plus be removed and cleaned daily; then replaced with a fresh pair every two weeks or worn continously for up to six nights then replaced with a fresh pair. However, your eye doctor will determine the appropriate lens replacement schedule. You should always follow the wearing schedule your eye doctor determines is right for you.

Question

Can brand new contacts correct vision differently than older contacts?

My eye doctor tried various brands and corrections for astigmatism but finally decided to try the Oasys regular. The Oasys worked fairly well at first but oddly it seems when they are brand new I really struggle to keep my vision clear - Is it possible these contacts provide different correction as they age?? Or fit differently on an eye with astigmatism as they get older? I wear monovision correction so my vision needs to be clear in both eyes so my brain can easily choose!
These contacts are very comfortable and I hate to give up!! Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Question

What is the best lens for someone who plays ice hockey?

My 14 year old son wears contact lenses when he plays ice hockey. What lens would give good performance without spending a ton of money? Would the Acuvue 2 lens be good?

Thank you for your question. Contacts offer exceptionally crisp, clear vision and players don't have to worry about them fogging up, falling off, or breaking during a game like glasses may. Your son won't experience a loss of peripheral (side) vision like he can with glasses. It's also easier to wear protective goggles with contact lenses. It’s important to see an eye doctor to help determine whether contact lenses are right for him. An eye doctor can also determine which type of ACUVUE® Brand lenses are best for your son's vision correction needs, and teach him about proper contact lens wearing and care.

Question

Are there any clear lenses without visibility tint?

I have green eyes. The visibility tint gives them a blue hue. I'd like to find lenses that let my natural color come through. Any ideas?

Question

Can I please get a free pair of the Acuvue 2 colors? e-blue?

I really liked this color best but I could not get any rebate on them so I bought a years supply of the Oasis. They told me the Oasis did not come in the blue. I was thinking of buying some just for special occasions but I was hoping to try some first. Let me know if you can send me any. My prescription is: 4.25 and 2.25. Thanks for your time!
