Hi kmkm, and thanks for your question. You can definitely recycle the plastic bottom, but we encourage you to check with your local recycling department to ensure that the foil is ok.

Question

I have heard through my eye doctor that you quit making Acuvue 2 Colours Enhancers is this true?

These are my favorite and most comfortable lenses I have ever worn in over 20 years of wearing contacts. The colour enhancers are the most natural tinted lenses I have ever tried and the e-blue enhances the green in my hazel-green eyes. Not to mention, when I drop one of the lenses I can actually find it right away! Please let me know if you are discontinuing these will this be temporary or permanent? I would very much appreciate it if you would let me know if you have something that would be very similar to these I could try in the future. I am very disappointed with other options my eye doctor has recommended. None of them are like your product for comfort and natural-looking enhancement of my eye color.

Hi Stacy and thanks for sharing your fabulous feedback and experiences with ACUVUE®. On December 31, 2013, we discontinued our ACUVUE® 2® COLOURS® Brand Contact Lenses, and there are no plans on their return. Contact lens wearers like you have told us they are interested in new and innovative products so we are focusing on offering consumers newer products like the 1-DAY® ACUVUE® MOIST® Brand. It’s the easiest way to wear contact lenses because you wear them once and then throw them away. Thanks again for your question, Stacy, and for your interest in ACUVUE®!

Hello Dennis. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with your contacts drying out. Sometimes wetting your eye and the lens with wetting drops will allow you to easily remove it. If you continue having difficulty removing the contact lens we would recommend contacting your optometrist immediately. They will be able to provide you the best options or they may wish to see you in person. One of our representatives has also reached out to you privately at the email address you provided.

Question

Why does my 1-day Acuvue Moist come out of the box backwards a lot of the time?

I wore Acuvue Oasys for 8 years and may have had 20 contacts in that time come out of the package backwards. With the 1-day Acuvue Moist, it is at least once a week. Also, the 123 isn't as easy to read as it was on the Oasys.
