Thank you for your question. You should always follow your eye doctor’s prescribed wearing schedule. If you’ve forgotten to replace your lenses at the proper time, remove your lenses immediately and replace with a fresh pair. If you’re out of lenses, remove your current lenses and call your eye doctor to reorder. If your lenses are causing irritation, please contact your eye doctor immediately, and follow their instructions.

Thank you for contacting us about our product line. While we are always expanding the range of sizes and configurations available, I’m sorry to say we currently do not make lenses that meet your needs or have a timetable when they may be available.

Your comments help us assess and meet consumer requirements, and I have passed your request along to the appropriate people here at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. As technology advances, perhaps we will be able to serve your specific needs in the future. Thank you for your interest.

Thank you for your question. There are several differences between these lenses. 1•DAY ACUVUE® TruEye™ Brand Contact Lenses feature HYDRACLEAR® 1 technology while 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® Brand Contact Lenses feature LACREON® technology. HYDRACLEAR® 1 is the next generation of HYDRACLEAR® which provides an ultra-smooth and wettable contact lens. 1•DAY ACUVUE® TruEye™ Brand is a silicone hydrogel lens while 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® Brand is a hydrogel lens.

Question

I wear Acuvue Moist with a BC of 9.0. I would like to try the Trueye however my opthamologist says that they are not available in my BC of 9.0.

I'm finding that as I get older that my eyes get dry towards the end of the day. While I like the Acuvue Moist, I would like to try the Trueye. Do you plan on releasing a Trueye lens with a 9.0 BC?? Please do and please hurry. I am a corporate pilot and the cockpit environment at altitude is very dry with no moisture content in the air. I think the Trueye lens would help me.

Thanks!!!

Question

Availability date for TruEye multifocal

I was told by my eye doctor that she is in a focus group for TruEye Multifocal lenses but she does not have any information on the availability of these lenses.

Do you have any estimated release date for the TruEye multifocal lenses? How high of negative power are you planning to supply?

I wear the TruEye (-9.5 D) and at a stage where I need the bifocal!

Thank you for contacting us about our product line. While we are always expanding the range of sizes and configurations available, I’m sorry to say we currently do not currently offer 1-DAY ACUVUE TruEye lens for presbyopia or have a timetable when they may be available. We recommend that you discuss ACUVUE® OASYS® for PRESBYOPIA as an alternate option with your eye care practitioner. Thank you for your interest.

Thank you for your question. ACUVUE Brand Contact Lenses do not block HEV radiation; however, all ACUVUE Brand Contact Lenses offer UV blocking. More information can be found at http://www.acuvue.com/technologies-.... Also note that we do not recommend wearing soft contact lenses while in the water.

Thank you for your question. Contact lenses are a great option for many ages. There’s no minimum age. Lots of teens, and even some pre-teens, wear contact lenses. The average age teens first get contacts is 13, but it has been shown that some younger children – even as young as 8 – are mature enough to wear and care for contact lenses. Successful lens wear depends more on responsibility and attitude than age. It’s important to see an eye doctor to help determine whether contact lenses are right for you. An eye doctor can also determine which type of ACUVUE® Brand lenses are best for your vision correction needs, and teach you about proper contact lens wearing and care.

Question

How long after manufacture of the lenses do they expire?

The recent batch of contacts I purchased expire a year from now. I would rather not have contacts that have been sitting around in storage somewhere for several years in who knows what kind of conditions. Is there a way to tell from the lot ## when the contacts were made?

The expiration date of all ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses can be found on the box end. The year is shown first (i.e. 2012) followed by the month (i.e. 09, 10, etc.). As long as the lenses are still snugly sealed in their original foil packages, they can be used until the last day of the month indicated.

I have the Acuvue TruEye contact lens. I was told they should be changed every 5 days.

Can it be changed once a week?

Do you have an almost identical lens that can be worn for 2 weeks at a time?
